Printer Management – explained briefly.

What is Printer Management?

Printer Management (also known as Print Management) is the centralized control and monitoring of a company’s entire printer infrastructure. All network devices are read out with their current information and displayed to the user in an overview (toner levels, errors, etc.).

How does printer fleet management work?

Our Printer-Manager TC CARL reads out all device information within a specified time frame (defined in the settings) and presents it in a detailed overview. This allows printers to be managed conveniently from your desk.

How can I conveniently keep track of toner levels?

Our Printer-Management solution TC CARL displays all devices, including the fill levels of each toner cartridge, in one overview. This gives you an at-a-glance view of all devices and their respective fill levels. The same applies to the paper in the paper trays.

Does Printer Management also work with devices from different manufacturers?

TC CARL, just like Topcart, is manufacturer-independent. This means it can also read out a device fleet consisting of printers from different manufacturers. Users can therefore manage and monitor all devices in the user interface.

Can consumables also be ordered automatically?

Yes, a so-called trigger level can be defined in the settings of the TC CARL printer fleet management system (toner level in percentage). Once this level is reached, TC CARL can automatically reorder a new toner cartridge for the device from Topcart. This ensures that no device remains idle because it has run out of toner.
